Our metering box / sliding wall mold
The metering box and sliding wall form is used for two different applications. On the one hand, it can be used to achieve precise metering of the filled material, which means that bricks with sloping contours can be produced. Secondly, bricks with undercuts can be produced.
This is made possible by the fact that either the complete wall or part of it can be hydraulically moved in and out on one wall side of the mold. In the case of metering for oblique contours, a metering box is installed at the bottom edge of the mold. When the mold is first filled, this is retracted. As a result, less concrete is poured into this part of the mold, since the total volume is reduced by the metering box. Before compaction, the metering box is extended and the concrete slips into the area that was blocked by the metering box. Finally, the concrete is compacted with the pressure piece of the upper part of the mold.
In the sliding wall mold, the wall with the undercut is retracted when the concrete is poured and compacted. Before stripping the formwork, the sliding wall is extended so that the block can be cleanly stripped.
